Since our inception, we have relied on a small group of generous patrons who provided us with support of all kinds. This isn’t at all easy, but this is something we deeply believe in. And for all these years, our commitment towards transparency encourages backing from passionate donors, enthusiastic fundraisers, and loyal volunteers who share the same passion for Sundarban and its people, and just like us, believe that if Sundarban survives, we all will survive.
We provide assistance to the rural communities residing in the islands of the Indian territory of the Sundarbans by networking directly with them, in an effort to make them live hassle-free and cope well with natural disasters. For the sake of education and cultural enrichment among the younger generation, we remain committed to monitoring, evaluating, and monitoring the standards of the cultural programs — of both the present and the future. Local areas are carefully chosen so that the effective, sustainable projects implemented in those areas not only enriches our experiences but also establishes your faith upon us.
With years of experience and knowing the region inside out, our team members are true experts in the field. Their expertise comes in handy while designing, implementing, and monitoring the work. Building a local network and having faith in those people are the best ways to create a long-term impact. We communicate with the local representatives in Sundarbans frequently to extract info about the islands, track progress, and analyse and solve the challenges. Without a substantial nexus of passionate and dedicated individuals, this work would not be possible.

ACTIVITIES1.
1. Natural calamity and Sundarban are synonymous. The coastal region along the Bay of Bengal is conducive to heavy cyclonic disturbances. Along with that, there also remains the spectre of large tidal waves at regular intervals that makes the lives of people of the islands miserable. But all these are not unexpected; we stay prepared for such situations.
2. We organize interim reliefs and try to map out a long-term blueprint to make sure the people who got their homes completely demolished due to natural disasters can stand up again on their own feet. For that, we try to connect with as many local people as possible.

2. The difficulties of the students from this region face while pursuing higher education are known to all. Our firm belief is that very soon we will be able to overcome this obstacle and be part of a more confident, cheerful project.

ACTIVITIES3.
1. At the present moment, the social or the familial structure evident in the villages of Sundarban is matriarchal. Women play a significant role there. so, to capture the pulse of Sundarban, you have to understand the psyche of the women of this region.
2. Post-Aila, men from even the remotest part of the Sundarban had to move into bigger cities, often outside the state, to make ends meet. As a result, the women took charge of the daily chores of the families. We aim to stand beside this vulnerable section of society.

1. Sundarban is a uniquely complex ecosystem. Settlers in the areas adjacent to the mangrove forests must be made aware of the importance of these forests. Our target is to educate normal adults, along with the school-going children from their families, about the importance of conservation of natural vegetation in this region and make them feel proud of their habitat.
2. Enthusiastic and studios children are shortlisted from the local pool of children and we take them for an educational tour of the islands. This allows them to understand nature more personally. Experts inform them about topographical features of this region and their importance, thereby trying to create awareness among the next generation.

THE AMPHAN IMPACT
May 20, 2020. Super cyclone Amphan pulverized the entire Sundarban archipelago, making the poor inhabitants, who were already struggling to make both ends meet because of COVID-19, even more helpless. How you all came forward and assisted us in an effort to pull those people out of such a sorry state is depicted in the infographics shown below:
